What is MVP Primary Care?

We are your one-stop-shop for health and wellness.  We combine Primary and Urgent Care services so you only have one number to call for everything from your annual physical or colonoscopy to a sore throat, flu or sprained wrist.  

Our providers combine digital healthcare with in-person care depending on the situation and your availability.  We strive to make sure you can meet your health and wellness goals without spending time in office waiting rooms, whenever possible.  

With a network of partners, we simplify access to lab work, diagnostics, specialists, medical equipment and common and rare medications.  While we cannot verify your specific insurance coverage for partner services, we confirm the in-network/out-of-network or uncovered status for all referrals to simplify your choice for partner service providers.

The short answer is that it depends.  The following will help you to understand which prices apply to you, including those who are $0.00:

I AM A SMALL BUSINESS OWNER AND WANT TO PROVIDE HEALTHCARE FOR MY EMPLOYEES: MVP Primary Care offers a variety of preventative and urgent care services to meet any budget for businesses with 2-50 employees.  Please call us at 702-518-8831 or email info@mvpprimarycare.com to develop a customized package of services best tailored to your healthcare needs and budget.  


| INSURED PATIENTS |


I HAVE HEALTH INSURANCE AND IT IS LISTED AS AN PARTNER INSURANCE GROUP: If you are currently insured by one of our partners, the cost to you will be $0.00 if you have met your out-of-pocket maximum or if your plan has no deductible or copay.  If your plan requires us to collect for a co-pay or deductible, our Health Concierge Team will help you understand all pricing options available to you, as the Direct Pay rates can be lower than contractual deductibles.  We are obligated by your insurer to adhere to co-pay and deductible amounts, except when a patient opts to be a direct pay patient.

I HAVE INSURANCE AND IT IS NOT LISTED AS A PARTNER INSURANCE GROUP: You can find the cost of our services here and we have been advised by current patients that our prices are often not much more than plan co-pays or deductibles.  But, we still recommend providing us with your insurance details to benefit you in two ways: 

(1) we will include your insurance details along with all prescriptions, labs, diagnostics and specialist referrals to be sure your health insurance pays for the maximum covered by your health plan, and 

(2) we will report your services and payment to your insurance plan so it can benefit your out-of-pocket maximum as determined by your health insurer.  

We recommend contacting your insurance plan to find out if there are any limits to the prescription, lab, diagnostic or specialist referrals when ordered by an out of network provider, particularly if you are enrolled in an HMO.  


I thought concierge medicine was only for the rich and famous?

Historically, this has been the case, as concierge medicine has not been generally available and has been considered a luxury item with fees to match.  However, we have been working since 2016 to develop a model which makes concierge care available to everyone, especially persons with limited mobility, transportation challenges or busy schedules.  

We are pleased to have made concierge medicine generally available including uninsured patients, busy working parents with or without insurance, active-duty military and their families insured by TriCare West, veterans insured by Veteran's Affairs and patients insured by Medicare and Nevada Medicaid.  

Why is MVP Primary Care better than other primary care?

We don't know what is best for you as a patient, so we don't say we're better.  

But we have been rated the #1 practice in Nevada by Medicare and Aetna, based on patient feedback and affordability.  We value your time and understand the challenges that can make it challenging to take care of your health, which is why our providers go to their patients using telehealth and in-person visits.  No more waiting room time.  

Lastly, every patient is assigned a Provider/Concierge team so you get to know the 2 people who take care of you.  Your provider will get to know your medical needs and work with you consistently on a plan to achieve your health and wellness goals.  Your health concierge will get to know your insurance plan details, your preferred specialists, labs and diagnostics and can assist with any billing or paperwork needs.  We believe it's important that you know the names of the team responsible for your healthcare so you never feel passed around trying to find the right person to talk to. 

What illnesses does MVP Primary Care treat?

Unless it is a serious emergency that requires 9-1-1, he simplest way to think about it is that we want to be your first healthcare call.  We treat all primary and urgent care needs, but we don't want you to worry about what that means.  Rather, our patients call us anytime they need something and we will either take care of things ourselves or triage the issue and provide a referral so you know exactly where you need to go and it can happen quickly.  

We educate our patients to call 9-1-1 if there is a serious emergency to prevent delays of any kind.

Where do I go to see my provider?

We come to you where you are, digitally or in-person.  You tell us the best address for your treatment.  We don't like wasting time driving to offices and then waiting in the waiting room for an appointment, so our practice is designed to avoid that waiting room time.  

I am an elder. Do you treat people over 65?

Yes.  We are very honored to be able to serve those with many years of life experience under their belts and we want to help you have many more!

I have straight Nevada Medicaid. Will you take me on as a patient?

Yes.  We value all patients equally and we are honored to serve all of our Medicaid patients.  Whether you have Medicaid, another insurance or pay cash, we are happy to treat you as soon as possible.

I have straight VA insurance. Will you take me on as a patient?

Yes.  First off, thank you for your service because we appreciate everything you have done to help others.  We are a VA Community Partner practice, so you can call us anytime and we are happy to serve you.  Whether it's inconvenient for you to go to base, a long wait time to get an appointment or you just want to try something new, we are always honored to help veterans achieve their health and wellness goals.  

I am transitioning between genders. Can I be a patient of MVP Primary Care?

Yes.  We are here to serve all patients achieve their health and wellness goals.  We understand that there are unique needs for patients transitioning between genders and our team is honored to help every patient's transition journey to feel complete in your own skin.

How long before I can get in to see someone as a new patient?

We always have appointments available within 48 hours, and within 7 days we can typically accommodate any schedule for a new patient.  Our existing patients have the ability to connect directly with their providers for urgencies and we always reserve appointments for existing patients within 24 hours.  Please contact our office for specific scheduling timelines.

At MVP Primary Care, we monitor and manage our provider patient rosters to make sure our patients always maintain access to their providers.
